就任演説は、前政権下の衰退を終わらせて、黄金時代が始まるというスタートでした。
The president kicked off his speech with a declaration that "the golden age of America begins right now." He promised to bring the United States into a "golden age" and rescue the nation from what he claimed was a "decline" wrought by his predecessor's policies.

Despite the divisive rhetoric, Trump repeatedly described himself as a “unifier” in his speech, ushering in a new age of prosperity. “My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier. That’s what I want to be: a peacemaker and a unifier,” he said.
“ I will also end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life. We will forge a society that is color-blind and merit-based,” he said.
